Refunds and right of withdrawal

Your statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a legal right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, without giving a reason. In France this is the droit de rétractation under articles L221-18 and following of the Code de la consommation. The 14 days run from the day the contract is concluded, which for a subscription is the day you pay.

The exception, and why we do not rely on it

The law lets a trader ask you to waive this right for a digital service that begins immediately (article L221-28, 13°). Most subscription software asks for exactly that waiver at checkout, which means that once you have used the service, you have no right to withdraw.

Whether or not that waiver is collected at checkout, we give you the 14 days anyway, and we do not reduce the refund in proportion to what you used. If you subscribed, ran twenty applications, and decided on day twelve that RezoCV is not for you, you get the whole amount back. This is a promise on top of the law, not a restatement of it, and nothing on this page reduces any right you have by statute.

How to ask

Email support@rezocv.com from the address on your account. Tell us you want a refund. That is the whole requirement. There is no form to fill in and you do not need to give a reason, though if you want to tell us what went wrong we would rather know.

You can also use the model withdrawal form set out in French law if you prefer, but you are not obliged to.

When you get the money

• We acknowledge the request within 2 working days.
• The refund is issued within 14 days of us receiving it, as the law requires, and normally much sooner.
• It goes back to the card or account you paid with. We cannot send it anywhere else.
• Your bank decides how long it then takes to appear, usually 5 to 10 working days.

After the 14 days

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. After the first 14 days we do not refund a period that has already started, but you can cancel at any moment from Settings in the app: you keep everything until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not billed again. Nothing renews without a payment you can see coming.

If a renewal caught you by surprise, or something went wrong on our side, write to us anyway. A rule that produces an unfair result in a particular case is a rule we will make an exception to.

Credit packs

The same 14 days apply. If you have already spent part of a pack, tell us and we will still refund it in full within that window. Credits themselves have no cash value and cannot be converted back into money outside a refund.

If the service does not work

Separately from any of the above, you are entitled to a service that conforms to what was described (the garantie légale de conformité, articles L224-25-1 and following of the Code de la consommation). If RezoCV does not do what this site says it does, you can ask for it to be put right, and if we cannot, for your money back. That right lasts far longer than 14 days and is not affected by the policy above.

Who actually issues the refund

Purchases made on the web are sold by Gumroad as merchant of record: they take the payment, handle the VAT, and appear on your bank statement. When you ask us for a refund we instruct them, and they return the money along with any tax charged. You do not need to contact them yourself, and you should not have to explain our arrangement to your bank.

If you subscribed inside an iPhone or Android app rather than on the web, that purchase was made through Apple or Google and their own refund process applies. Ask us anyway and we will tell you exactly where to click.

If we cannot agree

Write to support@rezocv.com first: almost everything is settled there. If it is not, you keep every remedy the law gives you, including bringing the matter before the courts of your own country of residence.
