RezoCV vs Teal, and which one your job search actually needs

Short answer: Teal costs $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days, or $79 every 90 days, and its real strength is tracking a job search: bookmarking roles, recording where each application stands, keeping notes. RezoCV is €19 a month and is built for the other half of the problem, preparing each application properly. If your problem is that twenty applications are in flight and you have lost track, take Teal. If your problem is that applications go out and nothing comes back, that is a different problem.

I built RezoCV, so read this accordingly. Every price here comes from Teal's own pricing page, checked in August 2026. If you are weighing more than these two, the four-way comparison covers Jobscan and Rezi as well.

The prices, side by side

Free tierPaidWhat you are buying
TealFree forever, 10 AI credits$13/7 days, $29/30 days, $79/90 daysUnlimited AI, full tracker
RezoCV35 credits over 3 days€19/month, €48/quarter, €89/yearCredits for each operation

Teal's weekly option is unusual and worth understanding. At $13 a week it is cheap to try and expensive to keep: three months on the weekly plan is about $169, against $79 on the 90-day plan for the same thing. If you stay past a fortnight, the longer plan is the only sensible choice.

What Teal is genuinely better at

The job tracker. This is the real product, and nothing else in this category matches it. Bookmark a role from any job board with the browser extension, and it lands in a board where you can set the status, add notes, record who you spoke to, and see the whole search in one place.

If you are running twenty applications at once and cannot remember which ones you have heard back from, Teal solves that directly. RezoCV has a tracker, but it is a list of what you applied to, not a workspace for managing a search.

Multiple CV versions. Teal keeps unlimited resumes and lets you build variants for different role types, with a clean editor and dozens of templates.

The free tier is genuinely usable. Teal Free is not a trial that expires. You can track jobs indefinitely, keep unlimited resumes, and use a limited set of AI credits. Most tools in this category give you a week; Teal gives you a tracker you can keep.

What RezoCV does differently

It scores the fit and tells you when it is bad

Teal shows a match score based on keyword overlap between your CV and the posting. That is useful for spotting missing vocabulary and it is not the same as judging whether you should apply.

RezoCV's ATS audit scores across required skills, core responsibilities, scope and domain, and says which way any seniority gap runs: whether you are under the bar or materially over it, which is a rejection nobody warns you about. When the honest answer is that the gap is too wide, it says so rather than helping you close it on paper.

It rehearses the interview

Teal does not do mock interviews. RezoCV includes interview prep and a question-by-question mock with critique, out of the same credit balance as everything else.

This matters because of where applications actually fail. The five jobs of an application breaks that down: interviews but no offer is a rehearsal problem, and no amount of CV tailoring fixes it.

It will not invent a number

Where your CV claims a result but gives no figure, RezoCV writes the line without one rather than inserting a plausible percentage. A CV that wins an interview you cannot survive has cost you a week and an employer's goodwill.

It charges per operation

Teal sells unlimited AI for a flat fee. RezoCV prices each operation at what it costs to run: reading a posting is 8 credits, scoring your CV against it is 9, a cover letter is 9, one interview question and its critique is 12. A complete application is 36.

The reason is not stinginess, it is what unlimited encourages. A flat fee has to cover the heaviest user, so the careful candidate preparing four applications subsidises the one firing off sixty. Sizing plans for a manageable number is the same position the whole product takes.

Can you use both?

Yes, and for some people that is the right answer. Teal for tracking the search, RezoCV for preparing each application. Teal Free costs nothing and keeps the tracker, so the combination is €19 a month rather than €19 plus a Teal subscription.

That is not a compromise recommendation. They genuinely do different jobs, and the overlap is the CV editor, which is the part of Teal you would be leaving unused.

Which one to pick

  • You have twenty applications in flight and have lost track. Teal.
  • You want unlimited CV versions and a polished editor. Teal.
  • You want to know whether a role is worth your evening before you spend it. RezoCV.
  • You get interviews and no offers. RezoCV, for the mock interview.
  • You are applying carefully to a handful of roles and want each one to land. RezoCV.

If you are starting from no CV at all, neither of these is the right first stop: RezoCV vs Rezi covers that case.

The free trial is 35 credits over three days, which is enough to import your CV and see it scored against a real posting.

Questions people ask

Is Teal free actually free?

Yes, and it is not a time-limited trial. Teal Free keeps unlimited job tracking and unlimited resumes indefinitely, with a limited allowance of AI credits (10 for resume bullets, 2 for a summary, 2 for a cover letter). The paid tier unlocks unlimited AI and the advanced editor. For tracking alone, the free tier is genuinely enough.

How much does Teal cost per month?

Teal does not bill monthly in the usual sense. It is $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days, or $79 every 90 days. The 30-day plan is the closest to a monthly price. If you expect to search for more than a few weeks, the 90-day plan works out to about $26 a month, which is the cheapest way to stay.

Does Teal do mock interviews?

No. Teal covers the CV, the tracker and the application materials. For interview practice you need a separate tool. RezoCV includes interview prep and a mock interview with per-answer critique in the same plan.

Is RezoCV cheaper than Teal?

At the monthly comparison, €19 against $29 for 30 days, RezoCV is cheaper. Over a year the gap widens: RezoCV's annual plan is €89, which is about €7.42 a month. But they are not the same purchase, so price alone is the wrong way to choose between them.

Which is better for ATS optimisation?

Both check your CV against a posting and surface missing keywords. Teal reports keyword overlap. RezoCV scores across four categories, flags seniority mismatch in either direction, and names the applicant tracking system behind the posting when the job link reveals it. Neither submits anything to an employer's system, and no tool can.
